The pink paper delivered great news last week -- Financial Times' FDI Intelligence unit named Costa Rica the "Best Country of the Future for Foreign Direct Investment in Central America & the Caribbean, 2011 - 2012." Costa Rica climbed from second position to be ranked as the most attractive country in the Caribbean and Central America for investment. We dominated the rankings, topping the Best Human Resources category, as well as ranking in the top two for Best Economic Potential, Best for Business Friendliness and Best FDI Strategy.
The purchase of the Las Catalinas property was heavily fueled by emotion -- homeowners love this place, its beauty, its richness in nature, the adventure and relaxation it provides. But it's also nice to hear that an authority like FT agrees that it's a wise (the wisest, even) investment.
