The second annual Tri Las Catalinas has been completed. It was fantastic! On Saturday February 22nd 296 athletes competed in the triathlon, open water swim, and kids race. We had about 1,000 total visitors at Las Catalinas that day. About 85% of the competitors were from Costa Rica, and 15% from other countries. The event logistics were flawless - kudos to the Guanaride team and the many Las Catalinas personnel who made it all happen.
Events like this represent humanity and community at their best, and the spirit of fun and camaraderie in this case was about as good as it gets. I missed last year's event, and was particularly thrilled to be able to attend this one. What a thrill!
