Happy to share today that town’s very own Casa Chameleon at Las Catalinas has been ranked as one of the top 100 hotels in the world by the readers of Travel and Leisure. In fact, our neighbor is considered the #4 hotel in Central America and one of the best resorts in Costa Rica.
The rankings came as a part of two lists, which are both hosted on Travel and Leisure’s website.

The Buzz Around This Costa Rica Vacation Destination
The rankings of Central American hotels consists entirely of Costa Rican resorts, with Casa Chameleon listed as the best place to stay on the beach in Costa Rica. This joins Casa Chameleon’s ranking as one of CNN’s “17 jaw-dropping pools around the world”, Conde Nast’s “Coolest Places to Stay Around the World”, and JetSetter’s “9 Best Hotels in Costa Rica”.
For those who have stayed there and enjoyed the sunset from Sentido Norte, this award shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. One visitor lauded Casa Chameleon’s distinct design and hillside character, commenting that “the architecture is brilliant, with your room carved out of a hillside.”
The same visitor went on to describe that “…the views are truly spectacular, with the best sunset I have ever seen in my life. It’s obvious this place is made with a lot of passion.”
Deserved praise from the readers of Travel and Leisure. Felicidades, Casa Chameleon!
