Pleased to share that Las Catalinas was the subject of a feature in Texas Lifestyle Magazine, as part of their special edition travel issue that covered Costa Rica, Tuscany, New Zealand, London and the Cotswolds, Alaska, and Acapulco.
Las Catalinas is featured alongside Recreo, a series of small hillside villas in Northwest Guanacaste, as part of a larger piece on the region by Samantha Cook. The article goes in-depth on the two possible places to stay, as well as some of the national parks and beaches in the area.
Cook’s section on Las Catalinas starts with town’s origins and three of the major principles upon which Las Catalinas was designed: optimization of the land, preservation of privacy, and walkability. From there, Cook touches on the people that live in Las Catalinas before diving into the many parts of town that make it interesting.
She touches on Pura Vida Ride, the outfitter for what she calls some of the “best mountain biking trails in the country,” then mentions Copper and Stone Gourmet Grocery as an option for at home dining before touching on three restaurants from town: Limonada, the Beach Club, and Sentido Norte.
Cook lauds the beachside atmosphere of Limonada, the casual menu at the Beach Club, and finally finishes with her dining experience at Sentido Norte, where she praised the beauty of the sunset over the Guanacaste coast.
In all, a writeup that captures a genuine excitement about all that Guanacaste has to offer, and an appreciation for Las Catalinas. It’s always a good thing when guests in town leave wanting to come back.
