Las Catalinas is now connected to the internet via fiber-optic cable. CoopeGuanacaste, a local electricity and telecom provider, recently installed fiber-optic cabling into Las Catalinas, and this fiber is now the primary backbone of our internet service. We continue to maintain connections with other providers for redundancy to ensure consistent internet up-time.
We are adding new network equipment to improve and expand the services we offer and we are rolling out enhanced phone, internet, and television services throughout town.
This is a great step forward for our town, and has been a while in coming. Good internet connections are very important to many of our residents and guests, and are thrilled to have this new capacity in place.
