[Lico Ramirez](http://blog.lascatalinascr.com/2011/12/world-renowned-athlete-comes-to-mountain-bike-at-las-catalinas/) returned to Las Catalinas last week. Chasing four competitors ahead of him, Lico and some 200 other riders raced through the Las Catalinas trails as part of the the 248 mile long [Guanaride](http://guanaride.com)!

  

 The Guanaride is one of the two top mountain bike races of the year in Costa Rica.   It consists of five stages in the provinces of Guanacaste and Puntarenas. The racers bike through a variety of terrain and pass the most beautiful beaches along the Pacific coast. We were thrilled to cheer them on as they rode through Las Catalinas.
