Welcome to "Exploring Beyond Las Catalinas," our new series. Together, we will explore the Las Catalinas region and its surrounding towns and destinations. Although there are plenty of things to do in Las Catalinas, a change of scenery is always enjoyable. The first stop on our discovery: The vibrant surf town of Tamarindo.  

A Scenic Drive to Tamarindo 

Tamarindo is a busy and bustling town located just a short drive away from Las Catalinas. The forty-five minute journey  offers a plethora of different sights, from breathtaking vistas, tropical dry forest landscapes, to picturesque tiny towns with fishing boats, churches, and soccer fields often called “pueblitos". As you wind through Guanacaste's charming roads, the anticipation of experiencing captivating Tamarindo grows with each passing mile.

Once you reach Tamarindo, you'll discover a town that seamlessly weaves surf vibes, lively ambiance, and natural wonders into one. Tamarindo is a world renowned surfer's paradise, thanks to the classic film, the Endless Summer. Just think of the bragging rights you'd earn if you say you learned here. Surfing in Tamarindo is an experience that will leave you both exhilarated and connected to the ocean's rhythm. 

2. Partake in a Culinary Escapade

Tamarindo's culinary landscape is a testament to its diverse culture. Delight in a feast of fresh seafood caught steps away, juicy tropical fruits, and fusion dishes blending local flavors with international influences.
